Lottery changelog

Every change to the Lottery tool, newest first.

Current version: [2.0] — 2026-10-11

[2.0] — 2026-10-11 - Rebuilt: Powerball and Mega Millions together

Both games in one tool, with results that update themselves twice a day from New York State's official data (the old data had stopped in December 2025). The page shows when results were last checked, and warns if a check failed or the official data is behind.
Smart picks (the new default): same odds, but skips birthday-only picks, runs, patterns, lucky 7s and past winners, so a jackpot is less likely to be shared. Random, Hot and Cold too.
Check a ticket by typing it or from a photo (cropped on your phone, read on the server, deleted right away). Tuned on real Arkansas Scholarship Lottery tickets: the photo is turned upright, the pink watermark logos are filtered out, and it's read six ways that vote on each line, so faded, blurry or tilted tickets still read. Numbers printed close together, serial numbers and the purchase time are handled; multi-draw tickets check every drawing they cover; a line only one way saw is outlined for you to double-check. The draw date printed on the ticket is picked automatically, and a "What it read" box shows the raw text. Real prize amounts, including Mega Millions' 2025 prizes.
Results for the last 30 draws, and Stats: hot, cold and overdue numbers, the most common special balls, and numbers drawn together most.
Installs on your phone with its own icon, and opens with the last results it saw when you're offline. Dark by default.
Listed on TheLabs.fyi.

The old CSV analyzer at /lottery now opens this tool.
Nothing loads from outside sites any more (the old photo scanner pulled code from one).
Photo reading is fenced in so it can't slow the websites: 2 at a time server-wide, limits per visitor and per hour, low priority, and repeat offenders are banned.

Number generator, ticket checker with photo scanning, and hot and cold numbers for Powerball.

Upload a Powerball or Mega Millions results file for frequency and pair statistics and ticket suggestions.
